Quick Notes
Monday, 25 February 2008 20:18

Things are busy as always:

I recently completed the score for Aaron Krinsky's short film Small Town Beach along with co-composer Jonathan Zalben. It was a real joy to work with so many wonderful musicians on the recording, and I'll be posting some clips from the score very soon.

ASCAP has invited me to participate in the 2008 ASCAP/Columbia University Film Scoring Workshop. It's a real honor to be included in this select group of composers!

I've recently also had the unique opportunity to help out with the orchestral recording sessions for some upcoming films, including Carriers to be released by Paramount Vantage and a segment from the film Tokyo! directed by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind helmer Michel Gondry.

Projects and Site Update

The videos are now all working, and the music selections have been updated. I've added a track in "Music for Films", as well as a video, from Kevin Choi's short film The Years Flow Like Water, which I scored a couple months ago. The score features the incredible talents of pianist Ilya Kazantsev, violinist Emily Bruskin and cellist Julie Bruskin. Julie and Emily are two-thirds of the acclaimed Claremont Trio.

I'll be updating the music with more new tracks soon.

In other news, I've recently finished recording the score for director Aaron Krinsky's short film Small Town Beach, which I co-composed alongside Jonathan Zalben. We were fortunate to be able to record a sizable ensemble for this one, so stay tuned for some samples once we've completed the mix!
