Ronen has begun scoring Coming Down the Mountain, a short film about life in present day Appalachia. The music will use a mixture of electric and acoustic sounds and instruments. The film is directed by James Ponsoldt, and produced by Cyan Pictures. It has already been accepted to the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival and the San Francisco Independent Film Festival.

Ronen's music was played for the masses on Saturday, November 16th when MTV's Making the Band used his instrumental hip hop track "Junky" as Bad Boy P. Ann Marie "Jade" Bryan's documentary On and Off Stage: The Bruce Hlibok Story, featuring Ronen's original score, will be screening at the Joe Papp Public Theater on November 8th and 9th at 5:30PM. A reception will follow the screenings. Tickets are tax deductable, and cost $75 for Friday and $50 for Saturday, with limited income tickets available for Saturday. Congratulations to Catherine Tingey, whose extreme filmmaking entry screened today in Cannes, France as part of the Chrysler Million Dollar Film Festival. Catherine's film included two original compositions Ronen created for her. Catherine is a talented, up-and-coming filmmaker. Ronen is looking forward to working with her again soon!
